Horror Punk Lovers.
The Crimson Ghosts have a new album out called Generation Gore and I am half way through it now and have to say it is killer. If I had to compare them
to anyone I would say The Misfits American Psycho area. Check em out.

I haven't heard good horror punk in some time. I'm going to check that out once I get some time.

haven't heard these particular Crimson Ghost's until now, not really into it, but whatever, to each his own. I am a fan of the Misfits instrumental
surf cover band called Crimson Ghosts, though
record collectors are pretentious assholes

They sound okay, the comparison is dead on. The problem I have is that they sound like they're trying too hard to mimic that sound as opposed to
coming up with something original.

The thread title got my attention, but the fact that more than one person would compare 'em to Graves era "Misfits" makes me lose all interest. I LOVE
me some good Horror Punk, but I wouldn't classify ANYTHING that reminds anyone of Graves as "good" no matter what genre we're discussing. And just so
nobody gets the wrong idea, I wouldn't classify anything with the "Misfits" name that doesn't contain Glenn Danzig as listenable either.

Agree with you on that one. There certainly is nothing new here, none the less I do like this band.

Agreed as well. Might have to check out an album as I dug Graves era Misfits.
Wow, the 2nd song on the myspace even has the classic "EERrrrraaaahhhhh!" sound from the Misfits. lol

I ain't heard anything great within horror punk since The staggers one heart beat way from hell, I'll give it a listen.
Living a life kept shut by a dream,
I'm reaching out to grasp my reality.
Hands of time wrap tight around my neck, and hit me so hard,
leaving me eyes black.
staring at a ceiling,
wondering why i never left,
penning words in a notebook,
wondering why haven't slept.
sanity is tapping in a cell
inside my fucking head.
begging for redemption
after hearing what was said.
the nights, they will not sleep
cause the days, have played for keeps.

My whole thing is if I want to hear that sound, I'll throw on American Psycho instead of a band that apes it.
