I got some drums today...
I decided I wanted to start playing drums again a few months ago. I considered getting some electric drums, but they are real expensive if you want
decent ones. I was just waiting for a good deal to come along and I got these today!
I got the drums, hi-hat stand, 1 cymbal stand, seat, hi-hats & crash cymbal from Ben, the guitar player for Dropdead/owner of Armageddon Shop.
The hi-hat clutch, bass drum pedal, ride cymbal, china cymbal & 2 other cymbal stands came from my dads old drums.
Time to start playing tomorrow!
PS - the drums are chrome which is pretty fucking awesome!

I think today when I get home I'm gonna slap on the iPod and see how many Black Flag songs I can play along to.

I've been filling in here and there while we transition between drummers, and the first time I did a few weeks ago, my arms were SCREAMING at me. The
last time, it was my right leg from the kick drum, and I was limping for two days.
18 years between sets behind a kit. It's just like riding a bike (I was sore after doing that this summer too)...

I always wanted to play drums when I was a kid.
My parents were like no way in hell pal.
you had to have hip parents or absent ones at least to put up with drumming.
and yes.
you should pack up and move to philly and jam out some new bad vibes songs with Gavin and Mark cuz I need something to do on a friday night show
wise....

I'm really not that great, but I used to be better so hopefully if I play a little bit a few times a week it will come back. I would like to get
another crash cymbal and a double bass pedal though.
