Tesco Vee book reading + Q&A
I went to see Tesco Vee do a book reading of the Touch and Go book today. He had a powerpoint slideshow of pics and talked about the zine and lable.
Real cool stuff! He talked about bad blood with Ian McKaye (there friends now), Henry Rollins (there still not cool with each other), Pushead (he said
Pusheads just a weird guy and tough to communicate with) and he said Glenn Danzig just turned into a douche in 1985.
Lots of cool stories and he was selling/signing books. Super bonus.... Jonathan Brannon was there songs signed the cover of my T&G book.
Tesco also mentioned a Touch and Go Zine box set coming out. It's all 24 issues recreated as single issues on the same paper etc. They come in a cool
slipcase with a CD and is limited to 500 sets. Unfortunantly it's $200, but Hebraic not by his choice.
I asked Jon Brannon about the reissue Negative Approach 7" and the cover art. He said they couldn't use the OG cover or they would get sued. T&G
wouldn't put it out with the OG sleeve so they had it redrawn. He said he had a copy but has no turntable so he didn't play it. He said he had played
the test press at a friends and that it sounded good. He's a nice guy.
