myspace friend requests

so we have 221 myspace friend requests in to the thorp account from the past month. exactly ZERO list 'friends in common.' SGR has sixty-ish, almost ALL of which list 'friends in common'. wtf thorp records?

apparently.
let's face it, it's still the easiest place to check out music from a band.

on one hand, forcing everyone into the new profile templates was a good idea.
used to be they were running v1 and v2 of the templates simultaneously. not a good idea.
but i don't recall hearing that they were going to move everyone over.
just turned up one day and BAM, there it was.
the way facebook rolls out moderate updates one at a time is probably a better way to go - less dramatic and polarizing.

anyway, i finally got around to fucking with the sgr profile: http://www.myspace.com/sailorsgraverecords

now that i've spent some time with it, i'm not opposed to it. but the page is still very heavy. it takes way too long to load and that music player crashes my browser with amazing frequency.
