JIm Rome was taling about this yesterday. Very good point.

Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.

there's been phone books sitting in the hallway of my apartment for months because my neighbors neither want one or are willing to dispose of them.....
my girl actually brought ours in and I was like what you gonna do with that? make a booster seat?
she's like oh I feel bad for the phone book.
I tell her to quit yappin and make me a sammich, now git!

I still use phone books! I get the local ones plus get them for surrounding area's (I'm right on the NH boarder), plus get one from Maine where I manage properties. I think they are useful.....

However, I think they should ask who wants them instead of wasting so much.

Call me old fashioned, but I prefer using a phone book to looking online.

If I'm trying to find something local I usually go to the books instead of the web. Like yesterday when I wanted to find local dentists, I just hit up the location guide for dentists & found one.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

I've had to resort to that in the past.

I also don't understand why I still get big phonebooks from two different companies, & then one of them gives me a little one. I only need one, if that.

Advertising. Companies are still paying the phonebooks to print advertising. I am sure the rates have gone down A LOT!
