my beer advice...what not to try

I was at a 40th birthday party yesterday for a friend which was held in this German style beer hall on South Street in Philly.
I took the train into the city to enable maximum consumption without the worry for society's safety.
Whilst perusing the draft menu I decided to hop about the list and try different styles at random.
All were quite good with one exception.
This was the most unpleasant beer I have ever encountered to date.
Avoid at all costs.
It had an aroma of arson and band aids and tasted like a camp fire.

i usually like Rauchbier's and have a had some by Schenkerla but can't remember exactly which ones. Definitely an acquired taste the smoke beers.

Well I've got a feeling I'm gonna get mine in. Retribution let the games begin.

That beer is amazing. I drink it every chance I get. It's like brisket w/ alcohol content. It's got an A- on BA and 99% on ratebeer...you may have got a bad batch...but chances are you may just not like smoked beer. It's a pretty powerful flavor.

After my recent experiments in trying new beers, it'll be awhile before I do it again. I've tried a couple of smoked beers in the past and they were way too strong for my taste buds.

after 2 heavy sips i passed the glass around to the rest of the party goers.
nobody wanted to fuck with it.
all were repulsed, and it became the evening's novelty to sniff it.
by then i was having a sneezing fit and went out side for air.
i walked down the block to say hi to Gavin.
when i returned, nobody had drunk the fire juice.
