Cleveland, the new home of the sXe youth crew revival
http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=127780370623697
I've never seen so many "straight edge youth crew" bands in... ever. I didn't even know this many existed.
RIGHT IDEA (Cleveland youth crew straight edge)
ALERT (MA youth crew straight edge)
OUTLAST (NJ youth crew straight edge)
RAZOR X FADE (Chicago fast straight edge)
NOOSE (Chicago vegan straight edge)
...Sorry Excuse (Kansas City Wolfpack straight edge)
ENOUGH (Nashville youth crew straight edge)
Focused X Minds (Milwuakee youth crew straight edge)
Written Off (Louisville youth crew straight edge)
Can We Win (St. Louis youth crew straight edge, members of Resolve)
Big Mouth (IL youth crew straight edge)
Caught In A Crowd (MA youth crew straight edge)
Coke Fiend (Providence hardcore)
Break Away (VA youth crew straight edge)
Tight Grip (Columbus, OH youth crew straight edge)
Death Camp (Rochester NYHC-style hardcore)
Stand For (MI straight edge)
CRUNCH LIFE (Formerly XFOOTBALLXPRACTICEX, Cleveland straight edge)
Sailing On (Cleveland straight edge)
Has anyone heard of any of these bands ever?
ALso "Death Camp (Rochester NYHC-style hardcore)" lol. new york hardcore style hardcore... funnily enough Rochester is also in NY.
A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s
a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal
favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

Here's the history on this band according to the thread I found this in
Feb 12th post they are listed:
XFOOTBALLXPRACTICEX (Cleveland straight edge)
February 17th someone wrote:
I'm just surprised this is a band.
In other news, I'm starting a new band. XPILATESXCLASSX. Anyone?
Feb 25 the original posted/promoter responded:
XFOOTBALLXPRACTICEX would like everyone to know that they are now Crunch Life, and still straight edge.
Feb 26 more making fun of the name:
Crunch as in Sit Up? How many crunches on average do these guys do before football practice? They must have wicked abs.
Feb 28 promoter again:
Now they're XFOOTBALLXPRACTICEX again...
Come watch this hilarious spectacle of a band play surprisingly good music in Cleveland.
March 9 Chris Colohan writes:
Yo, I like where this is going. XHOTXASHTANGAXPOWERXFLOWX and XRESTORATIVEXPILATESX have to do a split.
Whats up Toronto!?! Namaste! I wanna see you faggots tear up this heated floooooorrrrgh! I wanna see you open up that fuckin' heart chakra!

Outlast is the only band i've heard (or even heard of) and i'm a fan. dave from mttw turned me on to them. in fact, the singer from outlast is on
one of the songs on the mttw ep.

this comment cracked me up:
Emmanuel McAnally
I think each band needs to put on here what covers they will do so we don't have to hear "break down the walls" 80 times, though I would like that.
