I can't take metal serious anyway, & I question anyone who does. Not that I can't listen to some here and there, I just always acknowledge the fact that it is the goofiest, most corny genre of music to ever exist

oh there are loads of songs scattered across those genres that I can't take seriously, but metal takes the cake for overall ratio of silliness. How often do you hear metal songs that attempt to have an intelligent commentary on real life things? They definitely exist out there, but in no means the way songs like that exist within hardcore/punk/oi. Although I take back metal being the goofiest, most corny genre part-I think that now belongs to whatever the hell is going on with the Hot Topic sponsored psychobilly prettyboy teen idol scene lately....
