My turn... The March of Dimes & Team Sadie 2011. (please read)
As many of you know, my daughter was born extremely premature - she only weighed a pound and a half when she was born at 25 weeks (barely half way
through the natural gestational period).
Her first three months were spent in the Columbia Presbyterian NICU literally fighting for her life. In the years since, she′s had hundreds of
doctors′ visits and countless hours of therapy.
But if you saw her today - on her seventh birthday - you'd never know it. She′s healthy, she′s happy, she′s brave and she′s
a tremendous inspiration. She′s also extremely lucky.
My family has been supporting the March of Dimes and their mission of preventing premature birth and infant mortality since 2005. In that time, our
friends and family have raised over $20,000 - nearly $1,500 of which has come from the Thorp & SGR family.
We will be walking again this weekend and our goal for 2011 is to raise $1500. If you are at all capable of contributing, we′d love to have your
support. Thank you.

I Will pitch in tonight. Also, can we link this with our facebook?

honus, we'll be fundraising this week leading up to the walk and for one week following. over the years we've found it best not to drag it out.
not sure what exactly you mean, clevo. if you wanted to post a status update to your FB account and include our page, you would go to facebook, click
on 'link,' add this URL: http://marchforbabies.org/teamsadie , then write whatever you want before posting.
Or you can 'like' our march of dimes page directly. just go to our page and click on the like button under our main photo. http://marchforbabies.org/teamsadie

Already 85% of the way to our goal!
Think we'll hit it within 24 hours?
We normally raise between $3,000 and $5,000 every year, but went for a more modest goal this year in light of the current economy. Either our
concerns were unfounded or we hang with some high rollin' people!

Just back from the walk. Five miles takes a lot outta ya when you only do it once a year. I'm impressed she made it the whole way.
Thanks again to everyone that has contributed to Team Sadie and sent messages of support. For those that have asked, NO, IT IS NOT TOO LATE
TO GIVE! We fundraise for one week before and one week after the event, so I'll probably be bumpin this thread until Sun, May 8 or so.

Thanks, Colin. As I've said before, we happily take every dollar we can, so we appreciate whatever you can afford.
We cleared our original goal on walk day, so we've set a new and final goal of $2,500 by the end of this Sunday, which is also Mother's Day.

Man,she has really grown. It doesn't seem like that long ago that you posted the pics of her when she was first born. It's awesome that Sadie is
walking the walk with you now.Is this her first year,or has she done the walk before? Five miles would do me in ha ha. Good for y'all.
I just made a donation.

yeah, she just turned 7. kinda crazy.
she's been with us for the walk every year, but caught a stroller ride the first several years and just started walking the last two. although, she
gets the occasional piggyback ride.
