Trump on Wednesday took full credit for the release.
"I feel I've accomplished something really really important and I'm honored by it," Trump said at a press conference held during his pre-scheduled
visit today to New Hampshire. Trump noted that people have long been requesting the document, but Trump was the only one who got the president to
release it. Trump suggested Wednesday this development will boost his own potential presidential candidacy.
Trump said he and others are still going to have to assess the document's authenticity. We're "going to look at it. We have to see if it's real, if
it's proper," Trump said. But he added that he's "sure it's the right deal" and is looking forward to moving on to more important issues such as OPEC
and China.

I kinda wish he didn't at this point. ALL this is going to do is make Trump feel that this was all his doing. Bad move, if this wasn't released when
the "issue" was first brought up, why do it now?
Edit: Read the article BD posted up...
""I feel I've accomplished something really really important and I'm honored by it," Trump said at a press"
That was quicker than I thought it would be.
What the fuck is so important about that? Fuck you your fucking douchebag. Man I fucking hate Trump.

This is just another example of organized crime keeping us fat and satiated. what kind of country are we in where this is a headline. who gives a
fuck. if the biggest detriment to our constitution and way of life is where some asshole is born, we'd be winners.

It's also a nice sign of blatant racism...
How many other presidents have had to show their birth certificates to the public in our history?
How many were even asked for them?
If his name was "Jeff Smith" or "Whitey McGolflover" the question would never have been brought up.

^^^^^^^^ This is not because he was black. It was because his father is from Kenya and he travelled back and forth throughout Baracks life. The
assumption was that in Kenya it was declared that he was supposedly born there by his a relative in a tv interview. The relative quickly retracked the
statement the next day. It was retracked and that is where this all started from.
Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.

I don't believe for a minute this has anything to do with him being black.
This is us vs them republicrat vs democan posturing plain and simple. If he was Wolfgang Von Hammerschmidt the German republican of questionable
origin you can bet you ass the democrats would be doing the same thing.

That was just some fuel for the flames, birther movement started before that.

Looks like it was actually started by Dems as funny as that is...
I still think no one would have looked into it if it was a white guy.

It has everything to do with the fact that he is non-white. The 40% of Republicans that think he is an illegal are the rednecks/fringe groups and
their motivations aren't exactly on the level. John McCain actually was born outside of this country but none of them made a peep about that.

McCain was born on a US military base which counts as US soil. Hardly seems like the same thing.

And I would not feel the need to personally see the birth cert for him to show he was born "on base" and not "off base".

Edit...what I wrote didn't make any sense, was in a rush.
You wouldn't need to see it because it's
1. clearly not the same situation, one is a legal US birthing place that no one is contesting
2. you're not a politician trying to damage someones reputation to advance your standing.
Last I checked, Kerry is white as a ghost and look at the lengths they went to to discredit his military service. It's politics, not race.

It might be politics for the intelligent people that post on this board..... but it's race for the nitwits at the Tea Party conventions that are
outraged that a black man is the President of the USA.
And I echo Monty's sentiments....... no one is asking McCain to prove that he wasn't born off the base. We accept his word for it.

It's actually not that simple. What you're saying is correct with respect to today's laws, but it was not the case when McCain was born. However, it
has been applied retroactively to cover his birth. This actually was a bit of a minor issue during the election campaign but didn't get as much
attention as it probably should have given that the birther crowd was supporting McCain by and large.
For a very brief explanation, I'll mention that McCain was born in 1936 in the Panama Canal Zone, but citizenship to people born of US parents in the
Panama Canal Zone was not granted until 1937, though it was also applied retroactively (but means that McCain, at the time of his birth, was not a US
citizen).
Wikipedia has a brief description here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panama_Canal_Zone.
| Quote: |
Citizenship
Although the Panama Canal Zone was legally an unincorporated U.S. territory until the implementation of the Torrijos-Carter Treaties in 1979,
questions arose almost from its inception as to whether the Zone was considered part of the United States for constitutional purposes, or, in the
phrase of the day, whether the Constitution followed the flag. In 1901 the U.S. Supreme Court had ruled in Downes v. Bidwell that unincorporated
territories are not the United States.[5] On July 28, 1904, Controller of the Treasury Robert Tracewell stated: "While the general spirit and purpose
of the Constitution is applicable to the zone, that domain is not a part of the United States within the full meaning of the Constitution and laws of
the country."[6] Accordingly, the Supreme Court held in 1905 in Rasmussen v. United States that the full Constitution only applies for incorporated
territories of the United States.[7] Until the rulings in these so-called "Insular Cases", children born of two U.S. citizens in the Canal Zone had
been subject to the Naturalization Act of 1795, which granted statutory U.S. citizenship at birth. With the ruling of 1905 persons born in the Canal
Zone only became U.S. nationals, not citizens.[8] This no man's land with regard to U.S. citizenship was perpetuated until Congress passed legislation
in 1937, which corrected this deficiency. The law is now codified under title 8 section 1403.[9] It not only grants statutory and declaratory born
citizenship to those born in the Canal Zone after February 26, 1904, with at least one U.S. citizen parent, but also did so retroactively for all
children born of at least one U.S. citizen in the Canal Zone before the law's enactment.[10]

Fair enough. I just don't believe the republican=racist argument...there's just as many people on the other side of the fence who would pull the same
ploy if parties were reversed.

When even that asshole Glen Beck is downplaying it you know we have issues, seen a couple minutes of his show at the barber today and he had a fake
birth certificate that said place of birth "Libyuh" and address "666 Muslim st" and follows up w/ "Can we stop talking about this now? The world is
burning down."

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s
a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal
favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.
