Here's a hell of a graph for ya, workers.
Workers’ share of national income plummets to record low
http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_thelookout/20110614/bs_yblog_t...
Over the last decade, the share of U.S. national income taken home by workers has plummeted to a record low.
Check out the chart below, compiled by the Labor Department, and posted this week by conservative writer David Frum. It shows that the decline began
with the brief recession that followed 9/11 in 2001. But it continued even as the economy picked up again, and got even worse once the Great Recession
hit. In the weak recovery since then, workers' share of income just kept on falling.
Why are workers taking home such a reduced share of the pie? Opinions differ, but many experts think that the trend has to do with a number of
factors, including a decline in the bargaining power of labor, and increased competition from foreign workers. Similarly, over the last year or so,
U.S. companies have made record profits, while unemployment has stayed high and wages have barely risen.
The chart jibes with other data, which show that since the 1980s, income for the richest 1 percent of Americans has exploded, while hardly budging at
all for everyone else.
Still, there's little sense that either Obama administration or Congress plan to do much about this growing inequality. Indeed, any serious action to
boost the economy and cut unemployment now seems to be off the table.

If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s
a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal
favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

We have to fucking rebel because it seems its the only way to make change happen. I am broke and unhappy. We are afraid to have another child, but we
really want to have another one. No possible way to afford one. We are broke and stressing the fuck out just trying to get somewhere with the little
money we make. Everything is expensive and that is just the basics. I've got so much credit its unreal. School loans out the ass that I have no idea
how I'm going to repay because finding a fulltime gig with good pay is becoming more and more hard in many fields. I work full-time(hospital) and
part-time(PD) AND go to school fulltime and just barely getting by. Adn that includes my wifes salary. Shit really fucking sucks right now and it aint
looking promising. Most are brokew and still busting ass trying to make ends.

Robert Reich has some good short clips on youtube about the economy as well, good stuff to check out.
There's no unity in the lower class, everyone is afraid to do or say anything, everyone is fighting off the other guy to make sure their piece of the
pie isn't taken.
If they worked together instead of against each other change might be made.
