website questions
hey Guys.... if I want to start a website. Simple personal site with links, pictures, probably video (embedded from Youtube), streaming audio if
possible...
whats the best cheapest way to do it? I dont have a domain yet so I have to register it, but I dont have webspace.
My biggest thing is that I dont know ANYTHING about web design. I want to do it the way the old GeoCities sites worked where there was a template and
you just add your stuff to it. Is there a way to do that now?

Just get Dreamhost for hosting and install wordpress (they do the install for you). I've been using that just as a video blog with youtube embedding
for family videos.

Will Google Sites or Blogspot fit your needs? Those are easy. Not sure what all Google Sites lets you do, but that's probably your best bet for
something like Geocities.

If you want space on Dreamhost let me know, I can give you lots for only $5/month or something. Just register a domain for it that's all, can give
