Guns & Roses Revisited...
Steven Adler & Traci Gunns have gotten together to form a new band called "Guns & Roses Revisited". How sad is that!? Traci wasnt doing well enough
with Brides of Destruction?! haha!
Since Axl sued the Offspring for trying to name their record "Chinese Democracy", even though the GNR record that he plans to call that will probably
never come out, I seriously doubt he will let those 2 guys use the name Guns & Roses for anything!

Axl Rose can suck it. He should be a prime candidate for the "Kill A Celebrity" thread form a few weeks back. I hope he never succeeds. And Yes, I
do live in St. Louis.

Why won't GNR just die already? How many failed attempts at being their former selves are the former members going to make before they realize it's
over?

After reading American Hardcore and finding out that a member or two of GnR were in a hardcore band called The Fartz I laugh every time someone talks
about GnR. What a great name, "the fartz". I need to hear them.

Ha. Answered my own question.
"Probably best known as Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan's original band (he was the drummer), and also home to future Accused frontman Blaine Cook,
the Fartz were one of Seattle's earliest hardcore punk outfits, attacking governmental and religious corruption, racism, sexism, poverty, and the
like. The band's original lineup included vocalist Cook (under the name "Blaine Fart"), guitarist Paul Solger, bassist Steve, and drummer Loud Fart,
who was eventually replaced by McKagan. Few Seattle clubs were willing to book hardcore acts during the band's short lifespan, so the Fartz often
found themselves scrambling for any exposure or opportunities to perform.
The Fartz's first record release came with a self-issued 7" EP in 1981; Jello Biafra's Alternative Tentacles label put out the Because This Fuckin'
World Stinks EP later that year. The band's first full-length album, World Full of Hate, appeared in 1982, but even in spite of modest success
overseas (one single reached the Top Ten on the NME's alternative chart), the frustration with Seattle's lack of opportunity took its toll. After the
group broke up, Blaine Cook formed the Accused in 1984, while McKagan moved on to 10 Minute Warning and eventually Guns N' Roses. In 1998, Alternative
Tentacles issued a thorough retrospective of the group entitled Because This Fuckin' World Still Stinks."

Duff was also in a band called THE SILLY KILLERS and THE FASTBACKS. I have an old bootleg 7" called "Guns and Roses - Duff Tracks" thats 2 songs by
each band I think.
he also put out a solo album in the earl 90's

i heard a story awhile back that Axl got Buckethead in the "band" by bribing him with ultra-rare Japanese Robot toys. Then Buckethead was in the band
for awhile, they did that one horendous thing at the MTV Movie awards and then quit because he relized that Axl was never going to do anything.
Now hes in a band with Bill Moseley the guy that plays Otis in House of 1000 Corpses and Choptop in Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. Its pretty bad but kind
of funny. its just 'Choptop' and Buckethead. I think you can check it out at www.ChoptopsBBQ.com

Don't worry saaaars, I love gnr too. I don't care much for anything aside from Appetite though. I my opinion Appetite was a pretty damn kick ass rock
record. Everything else though, far too many ballads I think.

I got the new Accused. It's kick ass. You have to order it directly from the bands website. When I placed my order it only 2 days to arrive.

I'll say it, I think "Appetite for Destruction" is one of the best rock records ever.
I still think got it that record before anyone else did, well at least before anyone I knew. I saw an ad for it in Hit Parade or Circus in like 87
and I thought the cover looked awesome. I found it at my local record store a few weeks later(on cassette which I still own) and bought it without
hearing any of the songs. I don't think they had made it on radio(at least in my area) or MTV at that point.
I was listening to Motely Crue, Bon Jovi, Def Lep, etc at the time, but GNR blew those dudes away. I listened to that thing every day for months,
then I discovered hardcore/punk and moved on.
Wasn't one those dudes in TSOL at some point as well???
