When im old and gray
I was watching "The price is right" a few minutes ago.
During the commerical breaks i noticed that all of the commericals are directed towards old people (elderly).
Commericals like craftmatic adjustable beds, geritol, discount prescription plans, motorized chairs that go anywhere... including the grand canyon,
TONS of life insurance commericals.
Ok.. getting to my point now. I know that one day im going to be old and gray.. we all are.
I think about how my grandparents were and others like them.. the way they dress, the way they act, the music they listen to... and i think...I AM
GOING TO BE AN AWESOME OLD PERSON!!!.
Im gonna be the baddest elderly bitch on my block!.
I'll still be wearing band shirts and my Doc's.. rocking out to Blood for Blood, Dying Fetus..ect. While the whole time im shitting in my diaper and
writing letters to my congress man.
It's gonna be good times!

how old people get old...
if you think about people who are 60 now....
they were born in 1945... the first round of the baby boomers and shit
that means they were 24 in the summer of love (1969) and all that hippie shit... but that is the same year the first Black Sabbath dropped....
so can you imagine being 24 and Black Sabbath hitting the scene.....
how many 60 year olds went to see ozzfest this year....
how about they are all the Vietnam vets that are still left
their parents and everyone who fought in WW2 will be dead within 5-10 years....
so lets do 50 year olds
that puts them at 24 in 79....
the beginnings of punk as we know it.....
hell they would have been the ultimate yuppies in the 80's as well...
could you imagine being 30 in 1985
if not go watch American psycho....or better yet read the book
the old people that are around us...are not that old
but they act like it now....
how many 50 year olds are still listening to their 80's vinyl collection
or are coming out to the save cbgb's shows?
we moved to a place where it is mostly retired people
and we wonder where do they get all those fucked up clothes and hair...
how do they become old... is there a point where you have to stop going to shows
I know this is kind of silly but my 10 year old daughter watches the empty V
and she likes bam.... as a skater I respect him, but he's an asshole, anyhow
they had Billy idol on....
and bam's mom used to be the biggest Billy idol fan, in the 80's big hair, ripped jeans, the whole thing
but you watch the show and she's like a total fucking old person....

I also noticed that bob barker got a new microphone. He got rid of the awesome little skinny one with the little ball on top.
He uses a regular one now... it will never be the same
