targeting ships again

Well, it seems the ragheads are at it again with their desires to sink a billion dollar ship. As a sailor who is currently serving in the Navy I am compelled to speak on this for just a moment. I have freinds on the Kearsarge and it is always scary to hear about things like this. I enlisted the same year the Cole was suckerpunched and am proud to say I made it to Norfolk just in time to see her return......hurt and broken, sullen and confused, but not dead. As we all know, anything that does not kill you, makes you stronger and I swear a year later, when she returned to the piers of Norfolk Naval base, she had a gleam about her, a look that had not been there before. Kind of like the look of a fighter who is about to knock the shit out of his opponent. They sent her out and basically said to all who would do her harm, try harder, you gave her your best shot, now stand by to stand by. Rumor has it, she was the first in our battle group to fire strike missles into the heart of Baghdad, now hows that for a return punch. Whether you agree with the war or not, I speak from experience that it's hot, and scary and down right miserable, but we are there, and until they bring us home we will continue to do our job. Support your military, we are working class joes just like you who believe in what we do, and appreciate others who believe in us. the next time you see someone in Uniform, buy them a drink and thank them, everyone will feel better for it.
