anyone from North or South Carolina?
Seems like it could be a cool place to live and the housing looks cheap. The jobs pay less than in New England, but if the cost of living is lower
than it evens out.
Anyone have opinions on either state? Easy to find a decent job?

both are pretty redneck
we have some land down around the noose rive in N.C.
we almost moved there instead of P.A.
our land is the most southern part of the outerbanks...
and it's not a tourist hell like the rest of the OBX
but there are no jobs....
and if there are they pay crap.
yes rent is cheap but unless you are brewing meth good luck getting a retirment plan...
the rest of the state...
well have you seen deliverance

Ok... Anyone else?
Any other suggestions on cheaper/cool places to go? New England is just getting out of hand and WAY to expensive to live in. Houses that were worth
$115,000 a year ago are now selling for $250,000. Its insane! Plus I think I might just be getting sick of the area. Ive always thought that the south
might be kinda cool thats why I mentioned those states.

i heard parts of virgnia are nice, plus i heard they got a bunch of good hardcore and punk bands(strike anywhere, count me out).
just take a look at the papers
your leaders
they\'re killers
they\'re liars
what they do in your
name to make the bodies pile higher
the murders, the terror
they\'ve done it forever
as we sit band and smile
at the script they sell us
but now the victims, they\'re rising
their numbers\'s multiplying
they want their revenge for the years
that they\'ve been dying

North Carolina is much more reasonable as far as real estate, but I think thats changing, alot of people are migrating to the Carolinas, they have
developed huge recently. I bought my house two years ago in Virginia Beach for 120,000.00 and now the beast is valued at roughly 160,000.00 I have
done some wrok on her, but certainly not 40,000 worth. The music scene is amazing, I saw so many good bands when I first moved here back in 2001. I
have since been married and just added a little girl top the family, so shows are almost a thing of the past. I will go see a really good one now and
then, but nothing like my bachelor days. Down to Nothing, Count me out, Iron Boots, Strike anywhere, Time Flies............the list goes on and on.
Good venues too.

All you have to do is google government jobs, and a whole bunch of searchers will come up, then type in the region and find whats offered, and what is
required as a prerequisite ( degree, experience........etc) good luck
