Good news, bad news

Good....

It's Friday and I don't work weekends.

It's payday.

I got a check from my last job from their retirement plan type thing that I never even knew I was going to get.

I found an awesome tattoo artist here in town.

I scheduled an appointment to get the rest of my left arm sleeved finally (never got my birthday tattoo last month).

The last band practice was great and if my other roommate/guitarist gets back in town soon, we can have another.

Bad....

My tattoo appointment isn't until December.

That's all I got. That really ain't too bad, I just am used to scheduling an appointment at most about a week (usually less) before I get work done and I've been jonesing for new ink for a long fuckin' time now. Oh, I have no idea when I'll be able to get the color done as we're just doing the outline and the black shading at this appointment and who knows when I'll be able to afford to get it finished and that's gonna drive me nuts. Oh well, I'm still fuckin' amped about this.

I can relate. I just got a tattoo about a month ago to finish off a piece. It had been sitting unfinished for about 4 or 5 years because I was so in debt the last few years I couldn't afford to have anything done.

No man, just get those hurricanes to keep chasing him up to you.

My artist was in Austin too, my last work was in July or possibly August of last year, I've been itching for new work for so long. I was supposed to go to the guy some of my bandmates go to, but he closed shop here and moved it a few hours away before I got a chance to really talk to him. I went to check out a new shop that I had heard good things about a while back, but their work really wasn't too hot, some of it was pretty good, but some of it was really bad and I figure if you have something in your portfolio, you think you did a good job on it, so I passed. I've been trying to get into this place where 'm scheduled for work to check it out because I had heard good things about their work, but every fuckin' time I went by there it was closed even though the sign says they are open 7 days a week 12-6. I finally just started swingin' by every day after work and today they were actually open.
