Stigmata Reunion

any stigmata fans here? from lambgoat...

Notable Troy, NY hardcore band Stigmata, who disbanded five years ago, will reunite on November 25th. The show will take place at Saratoga Winners in Latham, NY and the line-up will feature Bob Riley (vocals), Mike Maney (guitar), Jay Sunkes (guitar), Buddy Armstrong (bass), and Shadows Fall member Jason Bittner (drums). Bittner posted the following comments online regarding the show:

"Yes, it's true! For those of you not familiar. Stigmata was my old band before I joined the Shads. We will be reuniting for a special reunion show and playing a lot of great hardcore/metal. And for those of you who are familiar, we will be playing the "Hymns for an Unknown God" record in its entirety. So come out and enjoy!"

If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

Damn living at the bottom of the world. I listened to that album 3 times just last week! I'd kill to be in the U.S for that!

They were supposed to play with Cro-Mags/Buried Alive at the Kathedral in Toronto when the Mags' Revenge cd came out & the tour was on. They didn't get over the border or something happened but I was bummed, they were the reason I went to that show. Instead a young Every Time I Die opened and it was massively suckful even back then. And they still suck.
I'd love to see Stigmata, too bad the reunion isn't happening in Adelaide.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.
