i recognized some of weezer's songs from the 90s, but they really didn't do much for me. i think my wife just thinks they're funny. she likes
morrissey as well, but is also a big foo fighters fan. they were really good. dave grohl is much more metal than radio-friendly foo fighters songs
let on.

you people saying you only pay 5$ or something for local bands are lucky. i probably average out at 10-12$ depending on if i buy a ticket in advance
or if its at the door..... and that goes for local or out of town. for bands like madball i paid 20$ but i would pay 20$ every day to see madball

different scene. when i started going to shows they were usually $3 or $4. now they're $5 or $6. this is not a wealthy part of the country and a 100%
increase in the price of a show would mean about 2 people at the show. it has nothing to do with not supporting "the scene". i've been to/played more
shows than i can remember over the years and if a local "punk" band started charging $12 at the door here they would be laughed at. it's a different
story when a band is on tour. i can't remember how many shows we've played with touring bands and given 100% of the door to them. i don't think
anybody ever played in a punk band around here to make money
