Another PARENTS thread, vaccines!

So how many parents have given their kids vaccines? Which ones did you get done?
Have you given them all of the scheduled ones and at the scheduled times? Combination vaccines (MMR or DTaP)?
Were they mercury (thimerosal) free vaccines?

My kid is due in April and I'm researching all kinds of shit on vaccines and their links to autism and a number of autoimmune diseases and learning disabilities.

So far I am dead set against Polio which is mandated in Australia and Hepatitus B which I think is, still waiting to get the info for the schedule here in the mail. Polio is a third world disease in unsanitary conditions and Hep B affects adult men at risk so children shouldn't really be put through side effects for something they can do as adults on their own.

Also looking against the MMR because measles & mumps doesn't do shit to kids & even those who get the vaccines aren't immune if there is an outbreak (though both diseases cause minimal harm to children & are virtually extinct anyways).

I know its a hot issue so where do you stand?

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

I actually just went through the vaccine thing with our daughter and we sat and talked with the doctor on the pros and cons of getting the different ones. it is scary shit indeed, but I know I was loaded with em as a kid and I turned out ok.

my kid had so many other issues to deal with at the time she was going through her vaccination schedule, i didn't even really concern myself with it.

If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

as kids we all had them...and we are all okay... as far as we know
but there is some sketchy ass issues with them,
both of my children have gotten them, but we gave it a lot of consideration with my son....

since damn near everyone our age who got them as kids is doing fine, and humans are living longer now then ever before, modern medicine has to be doing something right,

yes I don't trust any big corporation,
but I put my faith in science, and as far as anyone can prove science has battled more diseases then any other means...

(and yes they make the diseases as well, but you can't be a conspiracy nut all your life)

Both of my kids have had there "shots" and there ok.
Besides having a slight fever neither one of them ever had a bad reaction to them.

Have you ever noticed how crayons are a lot like M&M's? All the colors tend to taste the same.
