graphic design ??


does anybody know the easiest way to fill text or an object
with a picture or jpeg using Illustrator or photoshop.

XnMeX can probably help you. Send him a u2u if he doesn't respond soon. He's done a lot with those programs & he has helped me a bunch too.

in pohotoshop.
Choose a text layer. type your text.
then choose a photo you want to have in the text. add it as a new layer and center it where you want it on the text.
next Hit the control button as you click on the text layer...
that selects only the lettering. Choose your wand tool.
Right click and select inverse...
Now click on the picture layer.
Then hit delete.
It should now look like you have a picture inside of your text.
Add a little stroke to it and it shoud be perfect.

thanks for the help.

now i have one more question...
now that i did that, i want to bring it into Illustrator.
so i have to get rid of the bounding box.
i know i have to make a clipping path , but what is the easiest way to do that.

thanks,
i figured it out.
after making it a clipping path ( to get rid of the white box) in Photoshop.... you have to save the file as an EPS and it will open up in Illustrator ok.
