I just bought a new front door.

It's steel and has a really sweet oval glass design. My old door is too fucking drafty and is wood and is warping. Anyone install a door before. I know its a off the wall question, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I never installed a door before and when I take my old door off this saturday there is no turning back. So any info is helpful. Peace!

Also MERAUDERS "masterkiller" is a rad cd.

man did you just buy the door or the entire frame and everything
hanging a door can be one of the hardest diy tasks there is,
you have to measure it exactly and drill it straight for the hinges, or it's gonna look and act crappy and could increase your amount of draft coming in.

go to like better homes and gardens website and see if they give any tips..
it will save a lot of headaches and make sure you have a friend there to help hold it in place

I am fucking serious. I was not joking but damn I wish I was. Thats great. It's 2 in the morning I am tired my bad.

Ya I bought the frame and door. They charge $200 to install. Thats what I paid for the door. I hear this is a tough job but man I hope it goes smooth. I just primed it for the paint I will begin to apply tommorrow. Thanks for all the links. I'll check them out. Peace.

Well, what did you get?

Have you ever noticed how crayons are a lot like M&M's? All the colors tend to taste the same.

Thats what makes this board best! NOTHING is off topic here! When the section says "General Discussion" it's not kidding one bit!

I got the frame and the door itslef. So what I got to do is take out my original frame and door and put in the new one. I really couldn't have picked a better time I mean its only 10 degrees here.
