Who would you compare the Bad Vibes to?
musically, lyrically, or thematically? whatever.
there's only one band that I can think of to compare them to, and i'm just curious if anyone else thinks along the same lines.
if you haven't already, go here:
http://www.myspace.com/thebadvibes

If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

I hear a lot of stuff in there, all of it good on it's own, but blended together makes one of my top ten bands. I cannot get over how good they are. I
hear Motorhead in the bass, old GBH/Discharge guitars, some Negative Approach in the lyrics and vocals and a lot of mean Rock 'N' Roll under it all.
There's more in there too, but those are some of the things that jump out at me.
Who were you thinkin' of, Duane?

I have never heard anything like them before. I like it that way.
Have you ever noticed how crayons are a lot like M&M's? All the colors tend to taste the same.

the pissed off factor of the lyrics reminds me of paul bearer. not tough guy talk, just straight up piss and vinegar.

wow
i dont know what to say here
im honestly suprised when anyone is into the crap we play
when we started playing all we wanted to do was be a band that we would want to see
in all honesty i never in a million years would have thought anyone but our friends would be into us
our first year of shows was nothing but us smashing shit and fighting with knuckleheads and not being allowed to play anywhere in the city
over time it mellowed a little and big mouths in the crowd stopped trying to be cool and people actually started to come out and see us play and not
just watch us break shit and punch people
anyway, im rambling
thank to all youz guys
i cant tell you how much the nice things youz say is appreciated
you come at the king....you best not miss

Hey I'm a hard to please motherfucker and I don't give praise lightly. I've been playing the CDs nonstop since I first heard 'em and I still tell
everyone I meet to check you guys out. I think the vast majority of bands I dig have at point said something along the lines of what you just said
about wanting to be a band that they wanted to see. That seems to be a key ingredient to doing good shit...
