This Is What I Put On Craig's List: I Need To Make Some $$$

Hello all. Do you have precious memories on tape but are all jumbled and you need someone to sort through them, edit them, and put those memories on a DVD for your loved ones to watch again and again? My name is Joe and I run a small video production company called I?m Macon Movies. I?m offering to edit any wedding footage, graduation footage, home videos, picture slideshows, and other similar things and place them on a DVD for you at a reasonable rate with high quality results. Before I give my resume and my rates, I want to mention that I edit using a G5 iMac computer and Final Cut Studio software. Also, as of this moment, I can only work with the following formats: VHS tapes, MiniDV, and Digital 8 formats.

School

- High School Diploma from Tantasqua Regional High School (1997 ? 2001)
- Bachelors of Arts in Communications with a Concentration in Film and Electronic Media from Worcester State College (2001 ? 2005). Cumulative GPA of 3.695

Experience

I have been involved in video production since 1998. I became involved with Tantasqua?s student run television station in my junior year of high school and stayed in involved until I graduated in 2001. I worked camera, edited, directed, and produced shows there. I helped run a local cable access station for a year. Besides helping to run the three shows on the station, I produced, directed, wrote, and edited my own program at the same time. In 2001, I created I?m Macon Movies so that I could put all the little projects I had been working on under a name. In college, I did two semesters on the radio station and two years at the college television station. Around 2003, I started to film local musical acts performing live. In 2004, it took another step as I started to work with bands on record labels and doing 3-5 camera video shoots. Between 2004 and now, I worked with The Ducky Boys from Thorp Records, The Unseen and Dropkick Murphys from Epitaph Records, the Van?s Warped Tour, and recently I completed a music video for a band called The Welch Boys on Thorp Records that will be airing on Fuse, a national television station.

Rates

I have laid out a rough idea of what my rates would be for editing. Some of these rates may change depending on the project. Nothing is set in stone until we have worked out a deal. So, if interested, please contact me at joe@immaconmovies.com or call me at (413) 245-7091 and ask for Joe.

- Capturing Rate: $1 a minute, rounded to the nearest minute. For example, if you have a 30-minute tape, the capturing charge will only be $30.
- Editing Rate: $20-$25 an hour.
- DVD Creation: $10 includes a white top DVD, a DVD label, a DVD case, creation of a DVD menu using a template along with a song of your choosing.
- Rendering / DVD Burning: No Charge
- Creating Original DVD: $25 an hour
- Extra DVDs: $5 a DVD (case and label included)
- Special DVDs (custom created artwork): $25 per DVD
- Plus any extra costs (shipping, etc.)

Please e-mail me for more in depth details on how I charge and what each category includes. Also, if you?re interested and money is an issue, please contact me to talk about different rates. Some deals can be worked out, it never hurts to try. With your order, you will receive an e-mail with a .pdf invoice order form. When your DVDs are mailed to you, you will receive an actual paper copy of the invoice. No projects will be delivered until payment has been received.

Once again, please contact me at joe@immaconmovies.com, (413) 245-7091, just ask for Joe, or at the e-mail account listed here to further discuss the details of the project as well as how you can pay and return policies.

DVDs should work in most consumer DVD players and on computers with a DVD player.

To get a look at some of my work (all that?s up there right now is my music projects but I believe that their editing speaks for my abilities. I will be working on putting up a reel of projects like this. I have done some myself.
