My apartment building is on fire

seriously, we moved outta brooklyn to get AWAY from drama.

so while the firefighters are looking for the source of the smoke, two cops go over to talk to these guys who are working on this beater of a car in the parking lot. i don't know what exactly was going on, but whatever they were doing over there drew the attention of most of the rest the cops. maybe the car was unregistered, or there was a weapon, i dunno. anyway, it turns out that these guys had left something on the stove while they were out working on their car. and apparently, the apartment was full of smoke, but not so full that the firefighters couldn't see a bunch of bongs and weed in the apartment!

so in one fell swoop, these dudes lit their apartment on fire, got caught with an illegal chopped car and a bunch of drug paraphernalia. brain surgeons.

that sucks for you, really, but, that's something you read about on stupidest criminal stuff and thus is hilarious.

it's actually a really nice neighborhood, which was one of the reasons why we chose it when we left brooklyn. these guys are just young, definitely a little immature, and perhaps a little country. (no offense to our rural-residing-regulars, but you know what I mean.) whatever, 'stupidests criminals' definitely comes to mind.

we got a rental for like six months so we can take our time to find the right place. not thrilled about moving twice in a year, but the market is still a little unpredictable right now anyway. can't wait to buy a place, though. "git offa ma laand!!"

Did any other apartments catch on fire?

Have you ever noticed how crayons are a lot like M&M's? All the colors tend to taste the same.
