The Carolinas (looking for info)

Im looking for some info on what could be good areas to consider moving to in North or South Carolina. I would be looking for some sort of warehouse job ideally. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

*edit: I think I posted about the Carolinas awhile back, but I cant remember what anyone said about them! Sorry for the repeat question!

well I will hopefull b moving to the outer banks of NC in about 3 years
we have some land there on the noose river....
but as for you question,
it's pretty damn hick for the most part, but there are quite a few clubs and shows that are worth checking out
as for jobs, best bet is to move closer towards one of the military bases, and be a civilian employee

nothing like government benefits for warehouse work without the threat of going to war

I've lived in Charlotte NC my entire life,I like it,although I wouldn't recommend you move here, not that it's all that bad here,I just think that your best bet would be the Raleigh/Durham area...nice city with plenty of jobs.

First of all, sweet on the outer banks thing.Nice area, we could hang. Next Honus, definitely N Carolina close to the border where the military is. More jobs and we could hang out as well.

Honus serioously consider this before you make the move. You make good money and its hard to find a good job nowadays bro. However the Carolinas fucking rule hard and the weather is unbelievable. Esp on the coast.

as for jobs at the bases
I'll ask my father in law
he was maser gunnery sgt of all of okinawa, and has deep ties in NC, thus why we have land out there...

between the move from TX to PA, and the scheduled move to the bank, it sounds like the def-star family plan is well organized. good for you.

not as organized as we'd like, but we have goals, and they are met in a timely basis...
I want my children to be surf bums, plain and simple

cali and fla are out of the question and NC has the best surf on the east coast...
good weather, and cost of living isn't crazy...
so I can cope with tourists, and red necks, as long as there is surf in the future...

how you liking PA BD?
is it everything you hoped for?
gotta be better then the city

Honus, check out Elizabeth City, and Moyok (sp?) both are border towns with VA and alot of people commute to the bases from there, there are smaller surrounding towns, but those two come to mind. The Outer Banks (where Steve is going) is a bit far for that kind of daily commute, but some people do it. Also Blackwater. Hope this helps.

at this point, PA is pretty much exactly what we were looking for. we're able to save more money every week living in PA with one salary than we were in NYC with two salaries. amazing. plus, i'm still in nyc working one or two days a week, so i still get some of the benefits.
