Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.

Sorry, hommie, wish I still lived there; you'd be all set up!
I don't know what kind of budget you have or which nights you're looking for, but a quick search of hotels.com for a room this saturday yielded a few
reasonable results...
The Mount Royal Hotel & Hostel on the Upper West Side with rooms starting at $50 with a shared bathroom
Days Hotel Broadway, also on the UWS, for about $100/night.
Hotel Belleclaire looks DOPE, and they have shared bathrooms for $120/night, private for $130/night.
I don't know any of these places personally, but you can always read more reviews on tripadvisor.com. If you've got a little more to spend, and you
want soemthing possible more reliable or more centrally located, look into the Marriott's, Hilton's, and other big chains in heavy tourist areas like
times square of wall street - they often have great last minute deals.
On the rare occasions I've needed a reasonable hotel in the city, I've gone with the Millenium Hilton. It's right across from the WTC site downtown,
it was completely redesigned after 9/11, you'll be closer to CB's than the places on the Upper West Side, there are a ton of subway options right
there, and there are a number of 'touristy' things to see in the area. You should be able to get a room there for under $200 a night.
To those not familiar with the city, please don't think i'm crazy for recommending a $200/night hotel to steve... in that city, that's an amazing
price.
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

Is it even worth seeing Bad Brains if John Joseph is singing? As a non-fan I'm curious.
On a side note, I never liked Bad Brains but I haven't checked them out in like 10 years. If you had to recommend one album to try, what would it be.
I figure since so many people on this board love them and have good taste in music I should give them another shot.

picture), Rock For Light, or Black Dots. Black Dots is the first album they recorded, but it wasn't released until the late 90s. It is kinda rough and
shows a lot of the Punk influence that they were diggin' on at the time.

What about JJ singing for them? Would that be even remotely good?

Bad Brains with some guy who was an H.R. imitator, I would have to say it's not worth the price if they paid me to go to their show. I love Bad
Brains, but the band I know by that name died a long long time ago.
