ssd-the kids will have their say question..

any body know if their was a re-issue done by revelation records.i've ne ver heard of one.this was in the sellers description..
SSD's classic first lp gets the "reissue" treatment courtesy of Revelation Records (if you don't know the story, just ask). Supposedly Al Barile saw John Porcelly in NYC once and chased him all over lower Manhattan so he could "ask him some questions" about it. Includes insert. Sleeve is VG+ with some light wear, vinyl is a nice and shiny EX-. i just won it on ebay from pain killer records for pretty cheap..

This is a little bit of info I was told about it.

It came out around 88-89 and Ray and Porcell (maybe Jordan Cooper too?) released it. Apparently Al found out and was really pissed. Rev to this day still denies it.

They put DISCORD/EX-CLAIM as the label to make it different than the original? other than that they look exactly the same.

Also the labels are different... the original press has white labels, the Rev boot has silver labels.

Any interest in selling your Back on the Map with white labels?

Ok... let me know if you change your mind. I sent you a PM about it saying that the light blue labels are the first press. The white is just one that I dont happen to have yet.

Porcell was always rumored to be the one that booted it, but its never been proven and he's never admitted it.
I wouldn't put it past him though, he fucking loves SSD.
