What a pain in the ass

I decided that I wanted a list of all my cd's and shit on the computer and on a disc for insurance purposes. This is taking me forever. It's the one time I wish I didn't have so much shit.

Robbery or fire is what I'm thinking. Considering how many thousands upon thousands of dollars I've spent on music, I want to be able to keep track of it all.

I was told insurance would not cover cd's and shit.

Good for you dicipline!.
I wish i would have done that. It would have saved me lots of bullshit and headaches when my house caught fire (about 2 years ago).

State farm gave me "some" money for my music that got burned (roughly $3.00 a disc).
I was so pissed, they had a hard time believing that i actually owned all of those CD's.

Anyway, once you finish the list you might want to take a few photos or video tape a few seconds of your collection.
Get a good fire safe to put your list and photos in.

Have you ever noticed how crayons are a lot like M&M's? All the colors tend to taste the same.

I have the fire safe, and I'm gonna take some shots of the spines, but I wanna make a master list of everything.

considering that music is probably my biggest investment aside from maybe my car, its smart to catalogue what you have just in case, but it does suck to know that insurance companies can still screw you even with proof....but its better than nothing i guess

I have somewhere between 900-950 cd's.

I decided I'm gonna do a total music list that includes vinyl and music dvd's. Not sure if I'm gonna bother with tapes since a lot of them are just mixes and shit.

You motivated me and I just went through and reorganized my stuff. I think I have about 1500 CDs at this point but I really should go through them and sell a TON of stuff. There is so much crap that I got for free when I worked at Newbury Comics and when my band played out a lot. I could make some money, but more so I could free up some space!

Let me know what you've got if you go ahead and get rid of some of that stuff.
