New horror movies

I went and saw Slither over the weekend. Good campy grossout fun horror flick. One of those kind that dosent take itself seriously and try to scare you, but just throws all kinds of whacky nasty shit at you and says have fun with it. I highly recommend this film for people who like to see b-rated fun horror flicks with a sense of humor. A buddy saw stay alive and said it was good with alot of pop out of nowhere type scares.

I saw Slither yesterday and thought it was great. Plenty of gore and funny as hell. Nice of them to include that little scene paying tribute to Troma. Some awesome lines in there too. "Margie eats a box lunch".
Stay Alive looks absolutely horrible from the previews. I fuckin' loathe those lowest common denominator type movies. How many shitty movies need to be made about a group of people who get ahold of something they're not supposed to have and end up dying because of it? What a weak Ring rip off, and the Ring wasn't all that great to begin with. Is there some kind of rule that says all horror movies made now hafta be either remakes or rip offs?

Speaking of remakes, I saw The Hills Have Eyes last week and thought they did a good job with it. Definitely the best of the remakes in I don't know how long. Brutal as all fuck and they actually develop the characters enough that you actually care what happens to them.

I want to see Hills, but it's hard to find the time with the lil one. I may have to wait for rental. Glad you dug Slither Saint, and yeah the Toxie Homage was cool. I thought the Mayor was a fuckin riot. Anyone who digs a good horror movie with lots of gore and fun should see this.
