Who is the better comedian?

and why?

Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.

I have been renting comedy dvds lately and laughing my ass off. Chris Rocks bigger and blacker and the last one he came out with called never......I forgot but it is really good. Also Eddie Griffith is one funny ass dude.

but so did I when I was reading the choices. I voted 'other' with Artie Lange in mind. His stand up DVD is hysterical plus he is consistantly funny on a daily basis on the Howard Stern show. His stories are amazing!! He was funny in Dirty Work and when he was on Mad TV too.

I'm going with Mitch Hedberg. I love is style of humor. I love how sometimes you have to stop and think about it for a second at times. I love that type of humor. You have to think.

It's Eddie GriffiN with an N by the way ;) FUNNY bastard! Anyone that has not seen his stand up movie "Dysfunktional Family" needs to see it.

I voted Dennis Leary, but he needs more material. His cd's are funn y shit though.

I was thinking Dan Cook though.... Mitch Hedberg is the shit as well.

There are a bunch of others I have seen that I love.

And by the way....

Carlos Mencia sucks cock, is not even really a "beaner", and steals peoples material.

Ive seen a few bits of him after people were saying how funny his was, and I didnt laugh at a single joke of his. I understood his jokes, but just didnt see why they were so funny.

Other than that... I dont really follow comedians. My girlfriend loves Bill Cosby though.

you all should be put to death for forgetting RICHARD PRYOR.

Sam Kinison, Bill Hicks, Chappelle, Eddie Murphy ("Eddie Murphy Raw" is the "Age Of Quarrel" of stand-up movies), Pete Corealle on Sirius is funny as shit too.

F Dane Cook and F Carlos Mencia (real name Ned Holness, like NME said, not a real mexican...he is German & Honduran)
