Any LEATHERFACE fans out there?

(I'm referring to the U.K. band, not the fictional, chainsaw-wielding murderer.)

I love this band. A crusty punk I used to work with turned me on to Leatherface in the early 90s, right after they broke up. I was listening to a lot of heavy, traditional hardcore at the time, but I loved everything I heard of theirs. I couldn't believe I had missed out on so much great music.

Fortunately they got back together, released a new album and came to the US a few years later (their only time here, I believe). I got to see them at Coney Island High in NYC on that tour. The next day I went to see them at some bar in Jersey, but there was a fire inside before the show started. Beat.

Anyway, they put out another new record this year, and have a live DVD coming out on Punkervision that I can not wait for.

horsebox and the hwm split took me a while, but i came around.
i'd really like to see them again... even though as a hardcore kid (kid. what a joke.), my first impulse is to clobber everyone in the club with my maniacal dance style, while everyone else at the show is just sort of lightly hopping about. what genre would band fall into, anyway?

i dug the split.
the one from last year(cant remember the name off the top of my head) was really poppy and not good at all.
their music is really hard to classify.
some of thier stuff is pretty punk and some is pretty close to almost poppy rock type shit.
i think its his vocals that holds it all together and what got me into them in the first place.
im a sucker for a voice like his.

exactly, that fucked up raspy shit is the best. the first few releases ruled - especially mush - for exactly that reason. unfortunately, some of the lyrics are a little silly, but i haven't payed much attention to lyrics for years!

I like them. They had a thing on their website a while back about writing lyrics and singing over a pre recorded track so I put in for it. I have been in loose contact with them but havn't heard if i got it or not.

I think i wrote a damn good song for them.
