Iran Threatens Israel if U.S. Attacks

A top Revolutionary Guards commander said Tuesday that Israel would be Iran's first retaliatory target if attacked by the United States.
Gen. Mohammad Ebrahim Dehghani also said Israel was not prepared to go war against Iran. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has repeatedly spoken out
against Israel and threatened to wipe it "off the map."
"We have announced that whenever America does make any mischief, the first place we target will be Israel," the semiofficial Iranian Student News
Agency quoted Dehghani as saying.
"We will definitely resist ... U.S. B-52 (bombers)."
President Bush has said a military option remained on the table if Iran did not agree to international demands for it to stop enriching uranium.
However, he also has said Washington wanted to solve the dispute over Iran's nuclear program through diplomacy.
Israeli elder statesman Shimon Peres called on Iran to scrap its nuclear program and warned: "Remember that Israel is exceptionally strong and knows
how to defend itself."
Dehghani, who served as a spokesman during large-scale Revolutionary Guards war games last month, said the exercises were held ahead of schedule to
send a message to the United States and its allies over Tehran's nuclear activities.
"We were due to organize the maneuvers in May but due to timing conditions and issues related to (our) nuclear energy and upon the recommendation of
Mr. (Ali) Larijani (Iran's top nuclear negotiator), it was held 40 days sooner than planned," he said.
Friday marked the deadline set by the U.N. Security Council for Iran to freeze its uranium enrichment program. Council members are now considering
next steps, which could include punishing sanctions, although Russia and China oppose that step.
Israel's military chief said in comments published Tuesday that if Iran does obtain nuclear capability, it will constitute a threat to Israel's
existence. When asked if the world can, militarily, stop Iran's nuclear program, Lt. Gen. Dan Halutz told the Maariv newspaper: "The answer is yes."
Asked whether Israel would be involved in such a military operation, Halutz said, "We are part of the world."

On the level... the US would be royally fucked if they invaded Iran. The Iranian people are a proud people, and despite the fact that the majority are
young and not too enthused with the current state of their government... it would be a fucking death trap for American forces and IF Iran does indeed
have near nuclear capability... something like that could hurl the world into WW3. Not wise.
Israel probably wouldn't woup the shit out of Iran in a war.... for one... They'd have serious logicstical problems with that given they'd have to go
through Syria and Iraq... both of which would without a doubt be immediate allies of Iran upon any American or Israeli attack. Not to mention they
would have Hizbullah to deal with from Lebanon... and there's a reason Israel pulled out of South Lebanon in the 90s... Hizbullah tore them up with
guerilla warfare.
The Mid-East is a powder keg. A powder keg that, when ignited, would set the whole world ablaze. Don't think it wouldn't.

Fuck the pride of the Iranian people. If done correctly (which has not been the case in the past) The United States could more than easily extinguish
any problems that country is causing. As far as Israel, I have to agree with Bad Vibes, the world has never actually seen Israel operate on a full
scale military level, and our joint tactical training manuevers have shown me first hand they are more than capable of handling most of their
neighbors. As far as their "near nuclear" capabilities, the only thing they could do right now is meltdown a few reactors which would cause
considerable local damage but not anything near what it would take to spark WWIII. I believe if Iran stays on this path we will have to do something
about it soon. I don't believe Bush will even be in office anymore by the time it comes to something like that. Let me tell ya, the next Commander in
Chief has their hands full both domestically and internationally. In the immortal words of Billy Milano "Fuck the Middle East"

our biggest problem is the financial ties Russia and China have to iran. Thats where the powderkeg issues come into play. If there is to be another
full scale global war involving all continents, it's because of issues like this. The sooner this country can become independant of fossil fuels and
operate on an alternate energy source, the sooner the rest can follow taking away the bartering power the Middle east now holds. The powers that be,
however, let their greed determine the fate of this Nation and it's people. We need elected officials who are truly dedicated to this task, who have
no interests in big oil, who feel genuinely swindled by these fucking crooks and who wants to shake it up and get the country back into the hands of
the people rather than the corporations. It's simple laws of supply and demand, we should keep the middle east as stable as possible (again, we have
not done so well with this so far) long enough to free ourselves from their product and then leave it completely. Once free of oil I am sure Most
Americans agree the region could fucking implode on itself. The fundamentalists want the US and it's policies out of the region............give it to
them. If they insist on attacking us after that, carpet bomb the whole region back into the dark ages or drop a small sized Nuke in their back yard
and turn it into a parking lot for Europe.

Israel's a fucking bullshit country anyway. I don't blame the Palestinians for refusing to recognize it. AND if the USA (sorry guys) would mind
they're own fucking business and stop trying to exploit everybody else's resources NONE of this would be going on. Do you honestly think the whole
Arab world woke up one day and decided, lets hate the USA? It took years of exploitation, murder, illegal bombing, and political interference in
developing nations for that attitude to become prevalent.

I couldnt agree more, it goes back to corrupt leadership and oil dependancy. We need leadership in this country willing to fight the status quo and
lead this nation to energy independance. These Arab fuckos are in no way to be romanticized as "freedom fighters" or any other bullshit like that
though. They are fucking blind cowards who need to take a long hard look at the powers that be in their own countries who exploit them much more than
this country ever could. This whole thing is born of ignorance, but the things that are, and the things that should be are two totally different
things right? Reality is, we are in this fight now. I don't know about you, but I fight to win.

The fact is Israel was created after WWII to create an environment of perpetual unrest in the Middle East. Its pure Machievelli. Its like breaking
your finger so you don't notice your missing foot. I'd like to see Israel go down, it would loosen the Western stranglehold on the Middle East and
give them no real reason, aside from oil, to even be involved in Middle eastern affairs. And as far as a Jewish homeland goes, Judaism as it exists
today is a product of the Roman/Greek diaspora Jews, so maybe they'd be more comfortable in Rome or Athens.
