That is so pathetic. I don't know how people get into this shit. It's fucking ridiculous, stupid, and lame. Fucking idiots.

I am into hip hop just as much as hardcore and a couple of the artists involved such as sabac have very good, politically charged records out, but the overall idea is lame. After having the unfortunate experience of listening to danny diablos street cd, I think that he should be forced to sit in a closet for a long time.

Most of la coka nostra is with pitchfork and dms. Musically it has nothing to do with hardcore, but alot of ny hardcore bands are involved to an extent or just part of the crew from the looks of it.

yup.
but they still wont have any show related ties to it, i dont think.
LCN are seperate. With the exception of metal/style logos too.

Basically, ALL NY UNDERGROUND HIPHOP has something to do with NYHC because they are all street wise characters. Thats how it is there, people ARENT one thing or the other as much as most other places. And I like that alot.

Fucking close minded people. (like most hiphop heads and even alot of hardcore kids and punks... and dont get me started on techmetal/scenester kids, but some of them like hiphop too and kinda dress it, if its cool that is... or they just wanna be LA)

well said.
GAMC is definitely one of the crews you really dont hear any negatives about.

So it's closed minded now to think something that has proven itself to be worthless, mindless bullshit is exactly that, Endera? Fuck that. I refuse to subject myself to anything with that much moronic bullshit behind it just because someone wants to accuse me of not being "open minded" enough. That's a particular phrase that really pisses me off to begin with. I put thought and reason into anything I get involved with or choose not to involve myself with. I'm not some idiot who is going to slam something just because it's outside the range of some imaginary blinders someone thinks I'm wearing. If I think something is fucked up, I have good reason for thinking so. Like what you like, but don't tell me I have no right to dislike it or say that it's exactly what I think it is.

'saint, I think it's fair to write off the clownish thuggery of most hip hop... take 50 cent as an example of that... but from where I'm at it's not entirely fair to write off the whole hip hop scene when they've got strong presences from the likes of KRS- ONE, Public Enemy, Dead Prez(though they take the gangsta image and flip around to be used against the government rather than on each other in the streets, which can be kind of corny), Common, Talib Kweli and others like them. Shit, one of my closest friends is an MC, he put out a tracks promoting vegan straight edge.

MTV bullshit, for the most part, crap and not worth your time. Same can be said for the majority of "hardcore" on MTV is crap and not worth any of our time.

Back to the La Coka tip... I'd rather see Everlast doing something else, the Whitey Ford shit was tight.

I'm not dismissing the actual hip hop scene, just the MTV version and the people who try to pull that gangster bullshit and call it Hard Core. I'm not personally into much rap or hip hop, but there is a small amount of it that I can enjoy from time to time. My big issue is really with the assholes who are destroying a scene I grew up on by turning it into yet another mentally deficient, money worshipping, gun toting, piece of worthless shit.

I'm feeling you on that. I can deal with the thuggish, beat heads thing... I actually like that... but the "gang-banger" get cash, iced grill shit annoys me. Danny Diable gave me a laugh with that stuff.

I don't think Diablo is fucking around, seeing as he seems to take his shit pretty seriously. Takes himself pretty seriously these days too.

La Coka Nostra is the shit. Those are some good tracks from the myspace site. This is a hardcore board here, I would not imagaine a lot of the people on this board would be into this at all. Espically considering that the main focous of the people on this board seem to be towards trad. hardcore as oppossed to the tough guy stuff. None the less if there is anyone who likes that Coks Nostra you also may want to hit up Jedi Mind Tricks and Army of the Pharos. Good stuff.

I met this dude, Dave was his name, who is down the Jedi Mind Tricks cats.... he's an MC, convert to Islam, and back in the day when he was like 11 or 12 he used to pal around with hardcore kids and straight edgers... ended up with a straight edge tattoo. When I met him he had nothing to do with hardcore, total wigger.
