Musical scores
I saw something in the Gacy thread that got me thinking. What is the greatest, or at least most interesting musical score to film pairing you have
ever heard? I dont mean soundtrack, I mean score. As far as most impactfull for me it would be most of the scoring in John Carpenters films.
Halloween, of course, is the first one everyone thinks of with his scoring, but all of his films actually capture this eary air about them with the
scores that allows them to create mood and stand out for sure. Now, as far as the wildest and in my opinion most creative, it would be the score for
Ravenous. If you have not seen this film, please do so immediately as it is one of the greatest period/cannible films of our time. And the score is
the craziest shit I have ever heard. Now...........your turns music lovers.

I like the score to the Devils Rejects and the Schindlers List one is good.
Admittedly I dont have many and its not one of the things I really pay attention to in a movie.

Star Wars + John Williams for me or Lord Of The Rings + Howard Shore. Those scores are amazing. Also...Psychoi + Bernard Herrmann's bizarre and
freaky score is pure genius.

I like rza's work in kill bill vol 1 and ghost dog. Four brothers was really good too. The mix of original compositions by David Arnold, who also
did the surfing scene in die another day, and tracks from the motown period was awesome. Carpenter takes the cake though, that man has got his shit
down. Terror Firmer, althought it would not techincally be considered a musical score, did have a scene with a Blood for blood song in which a frat
boy gets stabbed to death with his own bong. "dude i got that in cancun!" stab stab stab

Old itallian movies have awesome scores. The stuff by Goblin or Fabio Frizzi (sp?) are all awesome. In particular I really dig the Lucio Fulci scores,
like The Beyond, and House by the Cemetery. Goblin have a total rock feel, but are also really creepy. They did a bunch of Dario Argento movies. I
actually have a few of them on double lps.

That is the first thing I thought of when I saw the title of this thread. Italian horror.
Also, I like the Natural Born Killers "score", I know with this film it's mostly songs, but I love how they are used.
Also also, good call on Rza's Kill Bill work. I love how that came out.
