im not a huge hardcore veteran - i listen to alot of hardcore and than a bunch of other crap, but i basically have barely any shows to go to that are any good in my area, i dont have a scene

what pisses me off is the stupid screamo trendwhores, who they think they like such rough dirty music, when all they listen to is funeral for a friend thrice and alexisonfire, and cant stand any real hardcore

George from Alexisonfire is a fuckin sweet dude. He was supposed to be starting a hardcore band with Phil from Rise Over Run/Keep It Up in the vain of Crunch Time and shit but they don't have the time. It was gonna be like a 7" only band and no shows unless they were local St Catharines shows.
Dunno anyone else in the band but George rules. The band I can't stand but that's only because of Dallas & his singing. If they dropped that shit & went straight up metal I would love it.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.
