the head cat
i know a few of you were so-so about it, but i played it for my mom and she absolutely loves it. i'm making her a copy right now. plus, i played some
of the less "country" sounding hank williams III for her and more success. she loves waylan and the more rock sounding singers from this genre. so
were two for two with some modern day music for an old lady who constantly plays elvis, neil diamond and waylan jennings...

I took my Dad to a record store in Philly because I wanted to pick up a Disasters disc, when he was here shortly after my son's birth, and we found a
David Allen Coe LP in there... it was cool to go to a record store with something for me and something for my Pa that wasn't a major conglomerate.
I also played Forced Reality's cover of "Mama Tried" for him, punk and Oi certainly isn't his thing but he confessed to the musicianship of the band
and their ability to play that song. That was cool.

it is kinda fun hangin out drinking beers with my mom and being able to put on something that the two of us both enjoy. i remember playing and still
do play stuff that drives her insane just for the hell of it. this type of music is good to just hang to...never thought i'd be playing something that
we both can relate to, must be getting old...er
