windows media player for mac
i have been using my older apple laptop, and i cant seem to get
windows media player to work on it.
i am using OS 10.1.5 and that was the version of windows media i have been
trying to get
i keep downloading the right installer,
then the file comes up as Windows Media.sitx
when i try to open that, it says....
There is no application to open the
document "Windows Media.sitx"
anyone have a clue?

.sitx is a compressed file

microsoft stopped supporting wmp on the mac a while back, so there's no guarantee that once yuo get the file uncompressed that it will work on 10.1
(apple is up to 10.4.7)
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

i went to the stuffit site and downloaded a newer version of stuffit
and now it seems to work ok.
