Why I think Hockey Players are very Genuine
Most of the time we read stories about athletes getting in trouble. Rarley do you hear the stories about them doing good.
When you win the Stanley Cup you get to spend a few days with it. Here is what Doug Weight (now back with the St. Louis Blues) did with the Cup.
He chartered a plane so the kids at Children's Hopsital could see it. He had his picture taken with over 200 people yesterday at a local ice rink.
He didn't go get drunk, he didn't set up a parade. He shared it with kids who would think it is neat and used it to help sick kids feel better.
This guy is nothing but a gentleman and a real role model. I wish more pro athletes had stories like this vs. what we normally hear.

If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves, ?You know, I want to set those people over there on
fire, but I?m just not close enough to get the job done.? George Carlin

Doug Weight is a total class act. And a good hockey player (for a Yank ).
Well, its this place where nobody works, and the pigs don\'t give you any shit. Everyone smokes weed and gets drunk all day. Its a place where
cunts like me and you can truly take it easy and relax. Know what I mean?

Here's a sort of follow up:
http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog.php?post_id=2652
It did wind up going to a bar but wasn't thrown around too much. I used to go to this bar all the time. In fact, one of the ownwers played in a
hockey league I plated in. A fight broke out one night and I was watching it on the ice. He came up to me from behind grabbed my shoulder spun me
around and punched me in the face. He then ran and hid behind the biggest guy on his team. I was fucking livid. He then brageed the next day to my
boss (at the time) that he kicked my ass. So the next game we played he ran from me all night. Then I had my chance and I crushed him into the
boards. Just nailed him with a clean hit. I beleive he threw up on the bench. I didn't hear anything else from him. He is a total faggot.
