I'd be pressed to find 10 good albums in the past 5 years...but heres my top 5 for 2006
Napalm Death - 'Smear Campaign'
The past two albums for this band since they've been a 4 piece again are amazing. Theyre at the top of their game. 4 40 somthings from GB are leaving
every other band on Earth in their dust.
Slumlords - Everything
From 'On the Stremph' to the 7's, one of the best bands going today. A band that writes good songs AND doesn't take themselves too seriously can't be
beat.
Municipal Waste - 'Hazardous Mutation'
This album makes me feel like a kid again. Its heyday crossover in its truest form. If you like bands like DRI, Crumbsuckers, Exodus and you haven't
checked out this band, you're doing yourself a great disservice.
Gut Instinct - Discography CD
Having all this stuff finally together in one place is more than anyone could ever ask. The single hardest band to ever exist that isn't called Cold
as Life.
Almighty Lumberjacks of Death - 'Always out of control, but never out of beer' collection CD
The demos and 7 plus some extras, one of the single greatest American "Oi" bands ever. Great memorable songs with tons of hooks and none of that
stupid shit about lads and pubs. "Who gives a shit about England?...I certainly don't..."

North Side Kings will rule.
So far this year, I'd say the best releases are from
Discipline
Mark Lind
Ducky Boys
Born To Lose
Slumlords
Gut Instinct
Generators
Kings Of Nuthin
SOIA
Can you tell I'm digging the Sailors Grave stuff?

03) Born To Lose - "Sweet Misery"
04) The Generators - "The Winter Of Discontent"
05) The Kings Of Nuthin' - "Over The Counter Culture"

this is the bulletin from North Side Kings Myspace
"
Bad news from NSK about shows this weekend in NY and NJ
I got into a bar fight on Saturday night. This guy smashed a beer bottle across my eye and then laid a good hit in the same spot right after.
Needless to say, I have a broken orbital bone under my eye and my eye muscle seems to be stuck in the crack. The last few days I have been in pretty
sever pain and realized this may be more than just a bad black eye. So I went to the hospital last night and was told that flying would not be a good
idea let alone yelling for an hour straight.
My sinus is filled with blood, my nose is numb, teeth hurt and my balance is off pretty bad. I have an appointment Thursday with a specialist, but
they are already recomending facial surgery.
The rest of my band has declined wanting to play without me being there too even with a fill in, so I am sorry to say we will not be playing NY and
NJ.
I deeply apologize to anyone traveling far to this and to everyone who made special arangements to see us. To all the bands we were playing with too.
Because of my current health situation it just isn't possible. I can barely walk a stright line.
Thanks to Jon Josef, Eero Dominik, Paul from None More Black, and to everyone else who did help make this possible.
We will be back there in Nov or early Dec. Its a promise. We have a ton of credit left over from our airline tickets to use.
Sorry again,
Danny "
\"thank you very little\"

im gonna say that pretty much all sailors grave and thorp stuff is at the top of my list, especially the generators, born to lose, kings of nuthin,
mark lind and ducky boys but have also become a huge fan of hank williams III. the new album is bad ass and just got earlier stuff a couple days ago
and love that as well. im psyched that ive gotten into new types of music this year, mainly because of people on this board and because of this label.
opens up new doors and helps me spend more of my paycheck each week

The Dead Walk! - We Prowl The Streets
Slumlords - On The Stremph
Jaws - Slow Motion Suicide
Sick of it All - Death To Tyrants
All That Remains - The Fall of Ideals
Threat Signal - Under Reprisal
Parkway Drive - Killing With A Smile
A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s
a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal
favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.
