Parents! a quick questions about beds...
when it's time for shorty to graduate out of the crib, did you (or do you intend to) go with one of those kiddie-sized beds, or a proper twin? cause
while i'm not trying to buy two beds (the kiddie bed will surely be outgrown quickly), a new twin aint cheap.
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

we got the boy a tomas the train bed for x-mas
it uses the crib matress
and easily holds his mom and him...
so we are looking at it lasting for atleast 3 more years
then we'll see what we upgrade to

Get a cheap but not too cheap twin. Like $250 for the set. Use that for the mistakes and possible spit up. That should last until she is age six. then
buy a good set. Full size or if you still want her in a twin, but make sure its a good one. Sealy Posturepedic. Sterns and Foster. Avergae price on a
good twin set is $400- $600. And a full size is $550- $800. that bed should last her till college. Average life of a good set is 10- 12 years. Average
life of a bed with low coil count of say 300coils(full size) is about 5 years long.
In my opinion because I sold mattress' is this. A young child will definitely wet the bed on occasion. Also puke is a possibility. So always buy a
good set for your child but don't spend too much when they are young. It will get ruined. However at around age 6 maybe 7 they will need very good
support when they start to grow and get heavier.
A good mattress pad is essential. Make sure it has a 10 year full replacement warranty and keep your card and receipt. They will ALWAYS exchange it if
you had any trouble. I have seen it happen many times.
Good brands are SEALY POSTUREPEDIC and if your rich then buy STERNS AND FOSTER(they are made by Sealy. Its the cadillac of Sealy postruepedic).
Other noteables are SERTA(very good, but not great). Problem is they went public a couple years back and everyone began investing in them. When that
happens the investors want a return on their investment so YOU GUESSED IT. The quality is going down. cheaper materials, thinner coils etc
*DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE BRANDS*
Simmons is complete shit. DO NOT BUY A SIMMONS BEAUTYREST. I have seen enough returns from them to know they suick dick for beds. Sure they feel nice
for the first year or so but they turn to shit. They are notorious in the bedding industry for being a crappy bed.
The coil is a very thin UNTEMPERED coil that is not connected by any wire to one another. Only glue keeps them together.
If you have a ORIGINAL MATTRESS FACTORY near you DO NOT BUY THEM EITHER. Its an old coil that sucks and it will become garbage very quickly. Also they
use onyl cotton so allergies is an issue.

Storme went right into a double seize bed which he still has and is almost 7 so he'll be in that bed for a few more years until it falls apart haha.
Aurora will go straight into a bed too, pretty sure it'll be a double as well if we can afford it. Cheaper than buying 2.

Our Shorite is just about to graduate from crib to bed. We are putting her in a twin. She has just about outgrown her crib. She goes to the YMCA
now for daycare and she sleeps on a cot there with no trouble. We will probably get her in a bed in October. Thankfully we have an extra one laying
around that we can use.
She will tell you when she is ready. She is slightly older then our little one so it will probably be soon

I got one of those conversion cribs, hopefully it lasts a bit when it's time to graduate. I would go with the twin, it will last a long time.

My two kids went to a regular twin after the crib.
They never really had any problems with rolling off the bed or anything like that.
I never used bed rails but if you and your wife decide on using them make sure you get a good quality one that fits tight to the mattress.
Have you ever noticed how crayons are a lot like M&M's? All the colors tend to taste the same.
