Lou Boulder (Hatebreed) dead

Guitar player from Hatebreed is dead according to posts on Bridge 9. Nothing on Lambgoat or Blabbermouth yet, no details.

RIP

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

Former Hatebreed guitarist Lou "Boulder" Richards reportedly passed away earlier this week. Specific details have yet to be disclosed. Richards appeared on the group's "Satisfaction Is The Death Of Desire" and "Perseverance" before leaving the band in May of 2002 (original news here).

DOH... foot in mouth... My bad! I wasnt disrepecting the guy dieing with my statement either, just incase anyone took it that way.

In my head I was comparing it to when The Who was on tour and John Entwhistle died and the band missed ONE show then went right back to the tour with a replacement after the death of a man that was in the band for close to 30 years!

I bet Jamey makes a song about it though. Releases a ep with outtakes and makes a mint. I'm not dissing the death of this guy either. Just pessimistic on the profit of death thats all.
