here's a story for youz............
last sunday im working at the tattoo shop
its just me and my boy brian
the other guy tony was sick
in comes these 4 "thug" dudes(black) and 2 chicks
they are REALLY loud and being lame from the second they step in the door
one of the chicks is gonna get tattooed
they have HUGE attitude
i knew something was gonna go on but was sweatin it a bit since it was just me and brian
one of the dudes proceeds to sit down on the floor, blocking the steps, and plug his cell phone into the wall and start talking to someone
in sitting there like "ok, what do i do here. do i make a big deal of this or am i blowing it out of proportion?"
i say to myself, fuck it, im saying something.
im not having anyone come in here thinking they run the place
thats part of my job there
i say "yo, what the fuck is this?"
dude "i just need a little juice man"
me"you dont even ask me if you can plug that shit in?"
dude" my bad" and goes back to talking on his fucking phine
me"YO, UNPLUG THAT SHIT NOW AND GET OFF MY FLOOR"
dude"huh?"
me" you heard me. NOW!"
we proceed to stare at each other for a good 30 seconds
im weighing what im gonna do next cuz this could get good
i seriously give consideration to booting him in the face and getting the jump on the 4 guys
but he backs down(im glad he did actually) and unplugs his shit
turns out after that these dudes were very cool
i guess once they figured we werent gonna punk out they thought we were ok
they were from baltimore and were drug dealers and had a TON of cash
they dropped $600 like it was nuthin
anyway, there's my story
blah blah

see if tony was there, i would not have even hesitated
tony is a little , ummmm, crazy and is a big fighter
but 4 on 2 is never good
we have guns in the shop and this was the first time i actually had to even consider where thet were in the shop
thats how bad i thought it might get
these dudes were the "real deal"
but it all turned out ok in the end
they were actually real cool once we got past the nonsense
im not sure how much i made that day
it was a good day i remember that much

I knew that man...........just fuckin with ya for not sending me those CDs yet. Slacker, I actually found both of em on Interpunk.com, but goddamn are
they expensive. I would rather give you the money straight out rather than pay a middle man.

Hard to argue with a statement like that.
‘Do you know what a love letter is? It’s a bullet from a fucking gun. Straight through your heart.’

hahah!
thats an interesting story, you came straight out as hard ass too.. lol if thats exactly what you said to him,
but they do tend to have an "i run the place" attitude, i know because i live in the GHETTAH!
and straight edge kids saying kill your local drug dealer, i dunno, i have friends like that, but personally, I dont say that shit because it just
wouldn't do where I live, I don't live a fantasy hardcore edge lifestyle where people understand it and accept it. Drugs and alcohol are what im
surrounded with i'd be six feet under with an attitude that wouldn't tolerate any of it..
but yeah, thats sort of off topic, just something i was thinkin last time i was at a show and saw someone reppin a seventh dagger "kill your local
drug dealer" hoodie

i have a fucked up knee to this day from tussling with some of them
im not trying to be "hard"
just not letting anyone run my show

Reminds me of my time working overnights in an industrial neighborhood in Baltimore. I worked at a 7-11 and our customers that time of night were
either dealers, kids who were runners, or idiots looking to score. I saw some fucked up shit on that job.
By the way Mr.BV, any chance I can still score some merch?

i used to hang in a crappy tattoo shop on woodland ave in SW Philly and that kind of crap happened regularly
dealers/ pimps / bikers were the usual clientel. but you had to let the fuckers know that they were in your house more or less. i was a kid then but i
seen some ugly stuff go down. dude had guns everywhere in that place. eventually i understood why

Damn that could have gotten ugly. Maybe they figured if you are balsy enough to do that they figured you had the upperhand.
Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.
