football fans... what's up with this?

fuck this guy. fist you stomp another players face with your cleats, then you throw a temper tantrum about getting a penalty, THEN you try to apologize. fuck off. i'm not saying football shouldn't be tough, but this is uncalled for.

he got a five game suspension; the longest in nfl history. too much? too little? what do you think?

Not enough punishment. What this guy did would be considered aggravated assault, possibly attempted murder in the "real world" Because he plays football and it happend on the field the law dosent play a part? I say he should face formal charges and if I was the dude who got stomped I would make my bank account even bigger by suing the fuck out of him! I love football, it's the only pro sport I keep up with regularly and this makes me sick to hear about.

Did the guy ever say why he did it? The guy who got stomped said it came out of the blue. They hadnt been talking any trash during the game and there was no bad blood that he knew of. Really weird.

I hope he's suspended without pay. That shit doesnt belong in football or anywhere else.

yeah, it was five weeks without pay.
apparently his coach apologized to the other coach after the game and told him that if the nfl didn't suspend him, that he would. good.

I agree that this is uncalled for, but you can not put real world laws into sports. Hockey, UFC, boxing, and so on have a lot more brutallity than this does. Every athlete would be in jail if laws applied in sports.

I gotta go with MM on this one. That whole Bertuzzi mess was total bullshit. Suspend them, ban them, but criminal charges I don't know.

Well, its this place where nobody works, and the pigs don\'t give you any shit. Everyone smokes weed and gets drunk all day. Its a place where cunts like me and you can truly take it easy and relax. Know what I mean?

When you make more money in one year than I will ever see in my life, I really have a hard time feeling sorry for you. As for punishing the other guy I agree with DAK and Discipline.

I say not enough. I think that for the season would have been good personally. What he did was insane... the guy needed like 30 something stitches!

FUCK HAYNESWORTH!. It was wrong and fuck anyone that thinks it was ook for his to do that. FUCKING BULLSHIT. He tried to mutilate his face. Its like walking up to someone with a knife and stabbing them and trying to walk away.
