Hank III

I've only heard a few of his songs and liked what I heard. What album of his would people recommend picking up first? Is there an album that is a mix of the punk stuff and the country stuff, or are they kept seperate?

Country and Western never really did it for me, but for some reason I don't mind this guy in very small doses. I have Love Sick, Broke and Driftin. It's ok I guess.

couldn't agree more with this recommendation! His Assjack and Hellbilly stuff is not formally recorded because the label who he is signed to (Curb records) refuses to record it or let him go elsewhere to record it. Hence all the fuck Curb stuff you hear and see from him. You can find a shit ton of that stuff linked from his website to download.

Straight to hell is a solid record.
Lovesick is also great.
I downloaded a bunch of other material I also enjoy.
Any of you Philly people go to that show that just passed? I couldn't.
