When they played Chicago for the Touch and Go reunion show, everyone told me "you're crazy for not going, this is NA's last show ever!!", and then I told them they were crazy for paying $35 to see a bunch of alt punk Touch and Go bands just to see NA...who actually aren't even NA, theyre Easy Action playing under the name NA.

Especially since Easy Action has been touring pretty much non stop for like 3 years playing NA songs almost every show and only charging $7 instead of $35.

Now I'm even less "crazy" because they're playing as NA all over the place.

They're playing the Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin with The Circle Jerks and a bunch of other bands for 20 bucks. I'm pretty sure I'll make it down for that....

Point being I've been seeing Easy Action play... and play NA songs for a couple years while no one wanted to go because it wasn't NA, even though the shows were only $7-8...but as soon as the same 4 guys (regardless of whos playing with Brannon right now) called themselves Negative Approach, everyone was on board to sit through an all day fest for 5 times the price, because "its the last time they're ever going to play" which it clearly wasn't.

This isn't saying anything about how much I like or dislike Negative Approach, but I'd honestly rather see Easy Action play.

The majority of whats wrong with hardcore and punk today is the hero worship, lounge act like reunion circuit and people not doing anything new. If I want to see retro I could go see some hair band play poison covers where theres going to be more than pimply face 15 years olds trying to act like they're going to care for more than 1 year.

i LOVE easy action
ive seen them play 6 or 7 times
each time they played 3 (at the most) negative approach songs
i would pay $35 to see a whole set of N.A.
i would pay $35 to see easy action
i would pay more than that to see the laughing hyenas

I should mention...my posts were not referencing anyone on here, but just people/friends locally.

I will also say 3 NA songs is better than a whole set. No band except DRI should ever play over 9 minutes.

I haven't had the chance to see Easy Action yet, but I love that band, saw Laughing Hyenas a couple of times and they were amazing. I've never gotten to see NA before and they've always been not only one of my favorite bands, but one of the top bands I would love to see. Sitting through a fest that includes several other bands I would pay to see and having it capped off with a set from NA is no chore for me...

I would pay to NA play no matter what they called themselves. NO matter if they were missing a guitar player.

Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.
