640 BHP police car!!!

Criminals beware! Next time you think of speeding away from a police car, think again. This squad car packs a staggering 640bhp, does 0-60 mph in 3.4
seconds and has a top speed of 211 mph! Yes, your eyes are not deceiving you, this is indeed a Lamborghini Murcielago LP640.
But i think its just a pr stunt for the motor show.

I guess the police in Italy have a few Lambourghinis in their fleet and use them for things like transporting organs for transplant and whatnot-
sounds iffy but I like to think it's true. I guess it's not uncommon in the states for the cops to keep cars they've seized in drug busts, street
racing crack-downs etc. and use them in the fleet.

Moforn, no, well at least not in big cities anyway. The liabilaty issues of using those vehicles are waaayyyy to much for any big city to risk it on.
Most drug seized vehicles are sold at auction. Here in Philly we have the live-stop program. Basically, if you get stopped and don't have a
license, or a suspended registration, we will take your car. You have 30 days to pay those tickets, and produce valid license, registration and
insurance to get your car back, after that the cars go up for public auction. I do know of other states though that use (or have used) cars like
mustangs, camaros, firebirds etc. for their Highway Patrol Vehicles. But anyway, in any big city there's no way they (the city) are going to actually
use any confiscated vehicle (as much fun as it would be damnit and as much as we need it considering not one car in my district has less then 150,000
miles on it) simply because of the liabilities attached to using civilian vehicle.
