Another messageboard question. Please Read.

As I recently mentioned, we've been having a few issues with our current messageboard software (XMB) where spam registrations and posts aare flooding the site, and it's making the management of the boards pretty frustrating. I could nerd-out and hack the software in an attempt to prevent this from happening, but that's very time consuming, and future official upgrades would not work.

So... I'm looking into options for new messageboard software, and wanted to get your input. Are there other bord applications out there that you're familiar with that you like? I'm leaning toward phpBB, but I though I would ask. Thanks for your input.

phpBB or InvisionBoard

I'd go with either of those,I've used both before. Good stuff.
(go with phpBB)

phpBB for sure, just make sure you kep on top of any new PHP news and if the site is on a hosted server you shouldn't have a problem with that, they should be on top of the security.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

I learned that kids seem to prefer, or are just use to, the set up of a phpbb
