I just wrote a really funny straight edge song....
It smelled so good, so tender & sweet
How did I know, I shouldn't eat
That glistening bird, so golden brown
Who knew it, would take me down
That dark path, another gateway drug
Now I'm just, a junkie thug
I held so strong, to my straight edge
And I still could, if I had gone vedge!
18 years old, no drugs, no drinkin

I broke my edge on beer can chicken!
I wasnt even hungry, why did I eat
That evil alcohol enfused meat
I lost my edge & quit my crew
Covered my poison free tattoo
No more X's, only whoas
No more stage dives & no more shows
I was so young, posi & quirky
Why couldn't it have been Tofurkey!

No music. I just wrote the lyrics after listening to some YOT, BOLD, SIDE BY SIDE etc in the car. I realized how cheezy some of those old 'anthems'
are and thought that idea was funny.

This totally reminds me of the project I was supposed to start with some friends several years back. We wanted to do a funny SxE band based on us all
being kind of older guys who still had the edge. It was called Preparation X and I only had one song written, but it was our theme song. I still have
it around somewhere, all I can remember right now is the line :
We're the cream that soothes the itch,
We're Preparation X, you son of a bitch!
