So it begins

5 days off.
had a work happy hour last night, as ackward as it was, yet managed to tie a load on at others expense
dropping my son off at school in 90 minutes
wrapping the stuff i have hidden
gettin a haircut
finishing shopping
picking the boy up and a bunch of food.
beers already cold
sounds like a plan.

Not taking any leave (vacation in military jargon) either. I have a 3 day weekend basically.

I've got a three day weekend, but it may have just become four days. There was apparently a fire at my work this morning and so far they aren't letting anyone in the building. I got a call just as I was about to get in the shower this morning.

I took the 26th off as a personal day. That's it. I actually owe the agency vacation time because of my wedding/honeymoon.

My wife wrapped a bunch of presents and laid em out on the fireplace the other day. The lil one woke up and came walking out into the living room and when she spotted the booty her eyes grew 10 times and she started hyperventilating and sayin watsat? watsat?watsat? We had to put the bounty up before she tore through it. So cute, Christmas changes dramatically once you have kids, I have a reason to love it again:)

I don't like the holidays at all. It is so very artificial to me. Very forced and very commercialized.

On the other hand, I love seeing my daughter get so excited and try and understand the whole thing. Make life so worth living.

I finished my semester last Friday and I'm off until Jan. 8th. I'm getting fucked up tonight.
